  • What are the sizes of skips available?

Here at Hanley’s, we have a vast selection of skip sizes to suit every job. Our small skips are a two cubic yard mini skip and a four cubic yard midi Skip. These do small clearouts at home and fit easily into smaller driveways.

The six-cubic-yard Skip is a ‘builders skip’ perfect for DIY jobs and garden projects. The larger skips are the eight-cubic-yard, 12-cubic-yard, and 14-cubic-yard skips. These skips are best for large home clearouts and garden projects.

  • When can you deliver my Skip?

You can order all skips for next-day delivery. We can also offer same-day delivery, subject to availability. Skip deliveries have a chosen delivery day/date, but we cannot guarantee times. However, if you require a morning/afternoon delivery, our drivers will try their best to accommodate this.

  • What areas do you cover for Skip hire?

We cover the following areas in Wicklow and South Dublin for skip hire: Arklow, Rathdrum, Laragh, Avoca, Wicklow, Glenealy, Rathnew, Ashford, Newtownmountkennedy, Kilpedder, Newcastle, Kilcoole, Delgany, Greystones, Bray, Enniskerry, Kilmacanogue, Shankill, Loughlinstown, Stepaside, Cherrywood, Leopardstown, Carrickmines, Sandyford.

  • I ordered the wrong size skip or for the incorrect date. Can I change this?

Yes, if the driver has not left the depot with the skip delivery, you can change the size and date of your Skip before our driver delivers it. You will need to call our office to make any necessary changes.

  • How long can I have the Skip for?

All skips are on hire for three working days. Once you finish the Skip, call our office to arrange collection. When your three working days have ended, our office will contact you to arrange a collection if you have not already done so. If you need the Skip for over three working days, let our office know, and we can arrange this. However, this process may be subject to a small fee.

  • Are skips Picked up on time?

Yes, we will do our best to pick up skips within the next three days. However, due to circumstances beyond our control, this might not always be the case; sometimes, removing a skip can take up to 7 working days.

  • Do you hire skip bags?

Yes, we have skip bags for hire. Our 1.25-tonne bags are great value at €100. Skip bags are ideal for small clearouts, especially for people with limited space outside their homes.

  • How high can I fill the Skip?

All skips have a level mark on the side; you should not overfill beyond this mark. For health and safety reasons, we can’t collect overloaded Skips. Furthermore, we might have to remove waste from the Skip before we attempt to remove it from your premises.

  • How do I pay for the Skip?

All skips are paid for in full when booked via card payment over the phone. Our driver will also take the skip payment at the delivery time via cash or card. However, our driver will not leave the Skip unless you have paid.

  • How should I fill the Skip?

Putting more oversized, heavier items at the bottom of the Skip and any lighter, smaller items at the top is best. You must ensure the items on the Skip are not too loose and will not fall off when collected.

  • Can I reorder a new skip if I already have a full skip?

Yes, we can do an exchange skip should you need a new skip and have a full one already. Our driver will drop a new skip and collect the full one simultaneously.

  • Does DJ Hanley’s have a waste permit for skip hire?

But of course, we have a full permit for waste collection and skip-hire. Our permit number is NWCPO – 19 – 12233 – 01. Furthermore, we recommend only using a service provider with a waste permit. For example, licenced companies will dispose of your waste correctly and recycle as much as possible.

  • Can I have a skip delivered and collected on the same day?

Yes, we can offer delivery and collection on the same day. However, our team must take note during booking to ensure availability. For example, we can arrange a morning delivery and an afternoon pickup.

  • Do you offer waste collection services?

Yes, we offer a waste collection service to the same areas where we provide skip-hire services. For a quote on your waste collection needs, call us on 01-2810416 to retrieve a quotation. Waste collections are subject to availability.

  • I plan on getting numerous skips; do I need to set up an account?

We don’t usually offer customers an account service unless they hire many skips for the foreseeable future. However, if you require this kind of service, you can speak to a member of our team, who can help you through it.

  • Does Hanley’s Skip Hire recycle my waste?

We recycle all your waste, including mattress components. We will do anything we can to help the environment. DJ Hanley’s skip hire service is the best method for waste clearance.

  • How do I order a skip?
